Weight training power – 5 tips for mental training

Motivations journey

Have you ever met someone who always seems to be energized and enthusiastic as if they had a daily dose of motivation? While highly motivated people have a secret source of motivation, It’s no secret, in fact many of them don’t even realize what it is.

Today we are going to be taking a look at weight training power and 5 tips for mental training.

Highly motivated people build habits that consistently generate new motivation. I’ve made it a point to carefully observe and study weight trainers who are consistently motivated and energized, and here’s what I’ve observed.

Anyone can feel motivated from time to time, but highly motivated people build routines into their lives that thrive motivation consistently.

Instead of waiting around to find some motivation, they design their life around energizing activities.

Here are five things highly motivated weight trainers and physical fitness enthusiasts do that we can all learn from to feel more motivated.

Manage your energy wisely

Generally most of the productivity and habit-forming advice you hear offers tips for better time management. With promises of making you more efficient in your training, they suggest all sorts of strategies for implementing your day to manage your time better.

Motivation shouldn’t be driven by time, It revolves around your energy. You can have all the time in the world but if you’re doing things that drain you of your energy, you’re not going to feel motivated.

Even if your time is extremely limited, you can accomplish a tremendous amount with enough energy and enthusiasm. Forget about managing your time and learn how to manage your energy instead.

Start your day with the tasks that require the most energy or are your least favorite. When you start out your morning, you are likely to have your highest rate of energy, and if you can accomplish the more difficult tasks first, it will be smoother sailing the rest of the day.

Be creative about accomplishing essential tasks that drain energy, you will recuperate your energy burned if you are eating a healthy diet.

Surround Yourself with others that are motivated

The people we surround ourselves with impact us greatly. Highly motivated people often use this to their advantage. Everyday interactions can have impact on people and can have impact on your levels of motivation:

A positive interaction with a supportive and enthusiastic friend can supercharge your own energy and motivation. On the other hand, just one interaction with a really negative, critical person can drain you of energy and your motivation for the day, but there is a bigger principle here:

The people you spend time with affect how you feel.

If you have to consistently interact with energy-draining people, you can’t expect to feel energetic and enthusiastic, but if you interact with energy-giving people, you can’t help but have some of their enthusiasm and motivation rub off on you.

So be thoughtful about the people you choose to spend your time with. To be enthusiastic in the gym you need to train with enthusiastic people and surround yourself with enthusiastic people.

If you are working on losing weight, surround yourself with people who will motivate you and give you the moral support that you deserve.

If you want to feel more motivated and energized in your life, surround yourself with energy driven people, spend your time with people that have a positive energy about them, that will no-doubt rub off on you.

Remember your successes

One of the most powerful things you can do to feel more motivated is to take time to celebrate your successes. large or small. It’s a basic law of human psychology that behaviors followed by a reward are likely to happen in the future:

If your goal is to lose ten pounds and you have lost five pounds, if you have friends there to cheer you on, you are much more likely to finish your goal of losing the other five pounds if you have positive friends to continue cheering you on.

You need to be in the habit of celebrating your own successes and you’ll create a positive stream of motivation for your future, More specifically, a small reward celebrated immediately beats a big reward delayed.

Tell yourself that you are proud of yourself after increasing your bench press by one repetition, after you have made that increase, then you can give yourself a little celebration party with others that show appreciation for your same interests.

After going for that early morning run, splurge on a fancy cup of coffee and reward yourself for a job well-done. It increases your psychological happiness.

Energize your environment

The activities and people in your life do give and take energy, so does your physical and emotional environment. Each and every one of us have a tendency to want to control many aspects in life, whether they are ours or someone else’s, which means we love the idea that the solution to everything is inside us.

Your environment matters, including how much motivation and energy you feel on a regular basis. Going for a run without the right running shoes can make it hard to stay motivated to exercise. You can’t always change your environment, but it’s possible more often than you might think.

Creating for a better environment can be more productive for your goals and can be a fast track to better energy and higher motivation. More energy and a better foundation constructed for our motivating principles can build for a more productive time spent on our physical training.

Accept your failures

There’s no better way to kill your motivation than beating yourself up after a failure or setback.

People with low motivation most always have a habit of being judgmental with themselves after failures.

They criticize themselves with negative self-talk which will only take more wind out of their sails, and they judge themselves as being weak and not worthy. They will punish themselves in an attempt to motivate themselves in the future.

Highly motivated people are good at giving themselves energy and motivation, they’re also skilled at maintaining their motivation, even in the face of setbacks.

The best way to preserve your energy and motivation in the face of failure or mistakes is to practice a little self-compassion. Talk to yourself like you would talk to a good friend who is struggling.

You need to acknowledge to yourself that if you fail at something the first time around doesn’t mean you are weak.

Conclusion

One of the most common causes of low motivation is saying yes to things that have no bearing with what our goals are aligned with.

As we’ve discussed, motivation is energy. When your energy is highest, you feel motivated. And when your energy is low, motivation seems to disappear.

You can’t expect to have high levels of motivation for the things that matter most to you if you’re wasting all your energy on things that don’t really matter. How can you possibly have the motivation to say yes to giving it that extra mile in the gym when you say yes to staying out late the night before.

Physical training is very important if you are interested in developing muscle size and strength, or if your goal is to lose weight, but mental training is equally important. It’s important to keep your head in the game and strive to be the best that you can be.

Courage is the key to success – winning at weight lifting

Weight lifter pressing a barbell overhead.

Have you often wondered what it takes to succeed? Have you often wondered what it takes to succeed at weight lifting and gaining the results that you desire? Today we are going to discuss “courage is the key to success” at winning and weight lifting.

It can take many things to succeed at whatever your endeavor is, but courage is one of the facets that I will be covering today as we take a look at what it takes to succeed with your goals and weight training.

Often people don’t succeed at what they are trying to accomplish because they might be lacking in one or more of the facets that they need to succeed. Whatever your goal is, if it is to build muscle or simply to build more strength, we need these facets in our daily regimen to accomplish what we desire.

What is holding you back?

What is holding you back from the future that you would like to build for yourself? Do you want to build a successful future of physical fitness and health? If you want to be successful with your weight training and build an unprecedented amount of muscle, courage is a big factor when it comes to fulfilling your goals.

Many times a person can be lacking in courage when it comes to fulfilling their weight training goals because it takes courage to fulfill your goals and to keep pushing forward when discouragement can mount in your path in front of you.

It is important to manifest a positive spirit in order to achieve your goals and to overcome any discouragement that might be holding you back. It is necessary to manifest a positive spirit in everything you do throughout each day and to write your positive thoughts down so that you can review these things each day.

“Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles to develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.”– Arnold Schwarzenegger

Building courage

Everything we do that is worth fighting for takes courage, courage to follow a goal through to add 10 pounds of muscle because we might fear that we won’t achieve the goal in the perceived time that we set for ourselves, if we achieve it at all.

Maybe you have a goal to lose 10 pounds but you are putting the task off because you are lacking the courage it takes out of fear that you will fail to even lose one pound, think how embarrassed you would feel if your friends or family knew that you set out on a mission to lose weight and you don’t lose anything.

Not to instill a sense of fear in you, just simply an example I am trying to make that nothing we plan is set in stone, that’s the reason why we set goals is so that we can make our dreams become a reality.

“Anyone can give up; it’s the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone would expect you to fall apart, that’s true strength.”– Chris Bradford

Are you determined?

If you are determined to accomplish what you set out to do, you will have a much better chance at having the courage to defeat your fear of failure. Rome was not built overnight and your goals will not be accomplished overnight, that is why we need to have the courage and determination to follow our plans through because our determination can dwindle if our results don’t match our perceived time that we set for ourselves.

“Strength is the product of struggle; you must do what others don’t to achieve what others won’t.”– Henry Rollins

“My strength did not come from lifting weights. My strength came from lifting myself up when I was knocked down.”– Bob Moore

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”– Martin Luther King, Jr.

Having faith in your ability

Do you have faith in your ability? Many people are lacking in the faith in themselves that they need in order to achieve what they desire because it is ingrained in our minds to naturally find our faults.

We can spend many years or even our entire lives cutting ourselves down, this negative trait can pull many of us down not giving us the ability to find our greatness.

There are ways we can follow that can pull us out of this rut and get us moving in the right direction. Eating healthy is a good place to start, keeping a daily regimen of working out and physical activity is another.

Having positive influences is another important aspect that we need to include in our lives. Our minds can become like garbage dumps, “Zig Ziglar” when our minds capture so much garbage in a day, we need to have a continuous access of positive thoughts to fill our minds.

“When obstacles arise, you change your direction to reach your goal; you do not change your decision to get there.”-Zig Ziglar

Conclusion

Any aspect in our lives we will need to have courage, it takes courage to follow through with our goals, it takes courage to face any challenge when we know that defeat can be lurking around the corner.

We can’t run from every challenge that comes along because we might have to face defeat. Defeat can actually be viewed as a building block, many defeats can build character, I have never heard of one successful person that didn’t have to face failure many times over before they actually achieved greatness.

Failures over time can truly be a part of life and can be a test to our character, but if you remain steadfast in your convictions and strive to be the best that you can be in everything you do, you will surely meet success and success will be great when you have earned it.

Anything great takes work and has to be earned, success is never handed over to anyone, it takes the heart of a champion and the courage of a fighter. Keep fighting the good fight and if you get knocked down, get back up and stay in the fight.

To help you embrace the good fight with your training, eat a healthy diet and give your training a boost with some good supplementation.

Weight lifting motivation – fuel for positivity

Weightlifter performing barbell curls

Do you often find it difficult to get motivated to get a workout in no matter what you do, but it just doesn’t seem like you are finding the motivation to get that workout in? Even the most motivated trainer needs a little boost of motivation now and then.

Weight lifting motivation can be fuel for positively from setting goals to keeping your weight training workouts regular to seeing consistent gains in and out of the gym.

Well if you are having a difficult time mustering up enough motivation to pound out another workout, You are not alone because finding the motivation to workout is a difficult thing that people have been dealing with for centuries.

Today I will be talking about finding the motivation to workout and keeping your workouts going strong for years to come and beyond. Read further to find some ways that you can give yourself a positive mindset to keep your workouts going strong for consistent results.

How you start your day:

How do you start your day? Do you look for ways or excuses to get out of your training or are you spending time looking for ways to see better progress in a shorter period? if you are looking for better ways to achieve your progress, you will likely accomplish better results in the long run.

Take for example a marathon runner who needs to diligently train for their run every day before the actual marathon takes place, if the runner doesn’t train diligently every day, they are going to tire out in the marathon much sooner and possibly not even reach the finish line.

But if the marathon runner continually practices and trains hard for their endurance training, they are going to fare much better at being able to finish the marathon without tiring if they have a view to their goal in mind of accomplishing what they have set out to achieve.

Positive affirmations:

Positive affirmations are something that I have been using for the betterment of myself with an eye to a view of making my training a more satisfying and beneficial journey despite age. I am not what you would consider old, but time keeps slipping past at a fast rate and if we don’t take action on this journey as soon as possible, it will keep getting more difficult.

Our mind has a great influence on how we view things on a daily basis and our perception of who we are and what we are able to achieve as compared to what we think we might be able to achieve.

If we think that we are not able to achieve our goals, it is a very good likelihood that we will not be able to achieve what we set out to do, but if we can train our minds on the way we think and process our thoughts in a positive way, we are very likely to achieve what we set out to do.

In order to successfully do this, we need to continually fill our mind with positive thoughts, because after a period, or even years, our mind can be like what Zig Ziglar referred to as, “a garbage dump”.

To relieve ourselves of what Zig Ziglar referred to as a garbage dump, we need to continually fill our minds with positive thoughts and affirmations so that we can think and start to believe that we will actually achieve what we desire, as long as we have belief.

Feed yourself positivity:

Anyone who has ever been successful in life at anything as always filled their minds with positive thoughts and positive reflections of where they see themselves in a predetermined time.

No one has ever gone on to win a marathon race thinking negatively about their outcome, the only reason why a marathon runner will accomplish their race is because they have continually trained hard and fed themselves with positive thoughts and positive reflections of where they see themselves in the future.

This goes for anyone else, whether if you are a bodybuilder desiring to add an unprecedented amount of muscle to your frame, or if you are a power lifter seeking to lift a heavier weight than you have previously, or if you are set out on a mission to lose weight.

Anyone who has a goal in mind to achieve greatness needs to have positive thoughts and a continual regimen every day where they can feed themselves positive thoughts through positive thinking, after continued practice of this, positive thinking will become a natural thing and you will achieve much better success in the long run.

Eat and sleep for positive thinking:

A statement I quoted earlier by Zig Ziglar about our minds being like a garbage dump can be viewed as the same thing for our diet and not filling our gut with food that could be attributed to being like a garbage dump.

How we feed ourselves daily will greatly affect other aspects in our lives such as how we feel about ourselves, our energy level, even our brain activity. If you feed yourself healthy food, your reactions and reaction time will be affected in a positive way.

The same is true for sleep, if we are not getting enough sleep every night, our body and minds become sleep deprived and this will greatly affect our ability every day to achieve our goals and what we set out to do.

If we are going to train to ultimately achieve our goals and ambitions, we need to not only be rested up physically to achieve our physical related goals, but we also need to be rested up mentally in order to achieve everything we set out to do as well.

Keep your goals posted:

Along with keeping ourselves physically and mentally in check, we need to keep our goals written out in detail but we also need to keep them posted in a place where we are likely to see them frequently throughout each and every day.

What good is it to have big muscles that you have worked hard for if you keep them covered so that no one can see them? or what good is it to lose weight and look our best if we are just going to keep ourselves covered in big baggy clothes so no one can admire all our hard work?

The same is true for setting goals, what good is it to take the time out to write detailed goals that are reflecting your dreams and keep those goals buried away so that you can never see them to inspire you every day.

That’s why it is necessary to put your goals up in a place where you can see them frequently every day and view them to keep you inspired. Without a view to your goal, it will be much more likely that your goal will never be accomplished if the plan and procedure is not in view at all times to assure timely progress.

Conclusion:

By this point you should clearly see that lifting weights requires more than just picking a bar up and lifting it, the complexities behind weight training can be many, all dependent on what your goals are.

As with anything else in life, if you feel serious enough about following through with something because you have the passion for it, you need to have a distinctive path set with a goal in mind in order for you to successfully achieve your desired plan.

From the time you get up in the morning, you need to start feeding your mind with positive affirmations which lead to positive thoughts in your daily routine and be sure to include enough sleep for a positive restful state as our actions start with our mind and our thoughts and our minds need to be sharp.

As important as our sleep is, our diets need to be on target along with keeping our goals posted, this way all the pieces of our daily routine should fit together like a puzzle and form a picture that is the reflection of where your desired outcome is.

One other piece of the puzzle that can have an importance on our desired outcome is taking in the proper supplementation.

Not all supplementation is created equal, so to get a better idea of what type of supplementation you need “to achieve your goals” and whether if the supplementation is even any good or not.

you can check out a review on supplementation here.

Bodybuilding my lifestyle – overcoming obstacles

Woman's feet running

I have always been excited with building the prospect in my life of creating a greater future with something meaningful that can benefit me from now through the rest of my life, and I have found that a great way of doing this is through a life of physical fitness and bodybuilding.

The endeavor of body-building my lifestyle has given me the opportunity to set goals and achieve them through sacrifice and hard work, sweat and tears from painstaking hours of punishment on my body for the sake of achieving a dream just to have it shattered by muscle tears, strains, sprains and years of excruciating lower back problems.

But through all this I have persevered forward with a better knowledge of who I am and what I am made of. With this experience I can pass down the knowledge that I have gained on to others with the joy it gives me to see others succeed. Today I want to acknowledge my giving to you, handed down from my own experience.

How I can help you

It has always been in my best interest to help others out in achieving their goals. Whether it is building muscle, losing weight or simply getting into better shape, I have always enjoyed the Journey of helping others out and helping them to realize their goals.

Keep a clear vision when aiming for your goals.

Achieving your goals is never an easy walk in the park, and you will never get there overnight, or at least as quick as you would like to, but the important thing is that you never give up on your goals and keep pushing forward so that one day your goals will be attained and your future will be much brighter for that.

Making the most with your goals

I have always believed that if you are going to take the time and energy to set a goal, you need to stick with it and follow it through. If you don’t continue to follow through with your goals and dreams, they will never be achieved and your dreams will simply be a thing of the past, they will have gone unnoticed.

Aiming for a destination point that you desire to achieve is similar to shooting darts, you want to use laser focus, vision yourself making your mark and you will have better results hitting your target.

Dig deep

This is your time to dig deep and make your dreams happen, they will not happen on their own and somebody else will not achieve your goals for you.

This is your time to make your dreams come alive and feel a sense of urgency when following through with what you desire, because if you don’t dig deep and take action for what you desire, it will never be achieved and they will simply be lost in this deep dark void unnoticed, and un-celebrated.

Train smart and use a spotter

Digging deep is something that you need to do in order to realize your potential, and if you never realize your potential, your true potential and happiness will never be brought to light.

Train hard

My Philosophy has always been to train hard but train smart as well. If you don’t train hard at what you are doing, you won’t be allowing your full potential to push through in what you are trying to accomplish.

If your goal is to build muscle, train hard at it and never lose sight of your dreams.

Ladies feet
Keep pursuing that extra pound

If your goal is to lose weight, keep pursuing that extra pound and don’t become discouraged.

If your goal is to simply get into better shape, feel better and look better, never stop pursuing something that will contribute to a better health and happiness.

Conclusion

I hope that I have given you some beneficial information to take away on this. Never give up on your dreams, be a conqueror, pursue happiness and fulfillment and be a positive inspiration to others.

If you can follow through with these things, you will win the battle, you will achieve greatness, you can have anything that you put your mind to as long as you never lose sight of your goals and never lose faith in yourself.

Natural ways to overcome addiction – living a healthy lifestyle

Negative addictions

It can be a very difficult process to overcome addictions, especially if you are going it alone, but if you are having a battle with addiction, you don’t need to fight such a battle alone.

Today’s subject will be natural ways to overcome addiction, living a healthy lifestyle. I had spent a long time battling with addictions many years ago, but that is one of the big ways that I used to fight my addictions was through living a healthy lifestyle.

Many people have been fighting addictions and have lost their lives from it, but you don’t need to be one of those statistics. Addiction can be overwhelming, not only for the addict but also for the families of the addict.

In this post I will be covering some healthy methods that I have used over the years to help with fighting addiction and you can follow the same method that I have followed, but always remember that it’s no easy fight and it will take time and persistence to overcome such powerful addictions.

Finding an outlet

An important aspect in overcoming any negative influence is you need to find an outlet. An outlet is something of a positive influence that will ease your mind of continued thoughts of any influence from the addiction.

An outlet can be anything that stimulates your brain in a positive way. Exercise affects the brain in various ways. It increases the heart rate which pumps more oxygen to the brain, It aids the release of hormones which provide an excellent environment for the growth of brain cells.

Exercise will also promote brain plasticity by stimulating growth of new connections between cells in many important areas of the brain.

Consume yourself with it

The next thing you will need to concentrate on is consuming yourself with positive energy stimulated by exercise and eating a healthy diet. If you engage in regular activity through exercise and a healthy diet, this will help you to keep your mind from reoccurring thoughts of negative influences.

You should keep a structured program of daily exercise and eating a healthy diet from the time you get up in the morning until the time you go to bed at night. You can help to keep this monitored by keeping a training log and a journal by your side at all times throughout the day.

I have often found that keeping a journal of my personal progress can help a tremendous amount when following through with goals, if you don’t keep a journal, it can be difficult to know exactly how much you have progressed if at all.

Redirect your thoughts

If you have been struggling with addictions for sometime, it can be a big task trying to steer clear from these negative influences, but if you stick to it with daily persistence and patience with yourself, it will surely pay off and it can be amazing at how much progress you can have over just a month or two.

It is never easy overcoming negative addictions, but with keeping your progress Journaled daily and by following positive influences such as others around you that may be a positive influence or other positive influences such as motivational recordings or videos can be of great benefit to you and your progress moving forward.

Never let recurring negative thoughts overcome positive progress that you have made, if thoughts of negative behavior keep persisting, don’t be afraid to ask for someone’s help in overcoming these situations because if you let these negative influences persist, in time they can weaken you to the point of completely giving up on your dreams.

Allow motivation to form you

In this next section I am going to be talking about the benefits of motivation and tactics that can form healthy habits in your daily activities of physical fitness and in your diet.

You will find that anyone who is successful is always highly motivated, that is the reason why these highly successful people are successful as they are, is because of the motivational tactics that they use on a daily basis.

No one ever became successful while not being motivated and not having the drive to conquer each new day. Each new day should represent to you as a new positive challenge and an opportunity for you to step up to the plate and take charge of the decisions that you have set out for yourself.

Motivation is a great benefit to you as long as you stick with it and don’t drop out of the race if things become a bit of a challenge to you. Motivation has been a big cornerstone for many great people spanning the globe ever since the beginning of time.

Without motivation there would be very little accomplished on anyone’s part, factories wouldn’t be pushing out the parts to keep the company running, grocery stores wouldn’t be keeping their shelves stocked and Starbucks coffee would have never been invited.

Motivational tactics

Are you ambitious? set up smaller goals along the way. Instead of shooting for losing 10 pounds this month, shoot for losing 2 pounds this week. Reward yourself for achieving the goal with some special time just for you to enjoy what you love most.

Eating for better health

You can keep the motivation burning strong, but if you’re not fueling your body and mind with the proper nutrition, you are going to grow weak and have a hard time functioning to keep your progress growing.

You could load up on sugary sweets and this may actually give your system a little zip, but that zip is only temporary and you are likely to suffer an energy crash about halfway through the day, that is to say that you start out your morning with a couple of doughnuts and a soda.

Is this the kind of diet that is going to help you reach your goal of physical fitness or is it just going to bear down on your midsection and keep you from achieving your dreams.

You will find that eating a healthy well-balanced diet will improve your energy for the long haul and will leave you feeling more satisfied. The right food will improve your thinking ability, your heart health and the way you feel about yourself as well as how you look.

Final thoughts

If you have been struggling with any kind of negative addiction for a while, you don’t need anyone to tell you that it’s a hard thing to kick, but making the right and healthy decision will have a large impact on the way you feel about yourself and overall the way you feel.

Follow the principles I have discussed, keep a journal and a training log, keep focused on your training and training schedule, keep a healthy diet and listen to some motivational recordings every day as well as some positive affirmations.

Aside from eating healthy you may find some benefit in supplementing your diet with all natural nutritional supplements. If you are interested in checking further into this,

You can check out one of my reviews on living a healthy life with supplementation here.

How to keep your dream alive – five key fitness points

Morning motivation

Do you have fitness goals but find it difficult to stick with them or follow through with your fitness plans? Everyone needs a little inspiration from time to time and anytime I can relay good key points along to my readers, I love to take action so that my content can be of help to anyone who has dreams to keep alive.

Today I will be talking about how to keep your dreams alive and 5 key points to help you follow through with your dreams. Sometimes we may not even realize that we are letting our dreams slip to the wayside, but after much time has gone by, we realize that we have been putting too much effort on other daily tasks, we need to dig a little deeper and give our mind’s that little extra push.

This post will be all about building upon your mental perception of where you want to be, and building yourself with mental training, not thinking positive can make it impossible to achieve your goals, and we need to ease back on all the downfalls of negativity.

Positive affirmations

Positive affirmations are something that I have started getting into recently, if you have an opportunity to check into listening to positive affirmations every morning, I would suggest that you take advantage of this as often as you can because it is considerably helping me each and every day that I engage myself in it.

In today’s world it can become all too easy for our minds to get bogged down with all the daily pressures and let destructive thinking get in the way of our dreams and goals, but if we can keep our minds tuned into positives that can build us up and keep the momentum going in the right direction, we will have a great chance at succeeding with our fitness goals.

Included I have a link directing you to some options you can check into that will benefit you greatly with positive affirmations on fulfilling your fitness goals through positive thinking. These recordings are a great way to give your mind a positive boost anytime of the day.

First thing in the morning after getting out of bed is a great time to give your mind some positive feedback and before going to bed at night will fill your subconscious mind with positive thoughts.

Before going to bed and after getting up in the morning are a couple of key times in the day to build yourself up with positive affirmations but I suggest anytime of the day, especially when you are stressed is typically an ideal time.

Keep ideas fresh in your mind

I have talked in the past about the necessity in keeping your goals and plans for each day written down so that you can keep on top of what is most important to you on a day-to-day basis, but to highlight on what I have mentioned in the past, it can be a good idea to be creative when keeping important notes and goals written down.

Some people keep a notebook handy with their daily fitness goals, others keep Post-It notes to keep their goals fresh in their minds, but instead of keeping paper tacked up around your house or office, have you thought about using a whiteboard to keep your workouts and fitness goals logged?

Another idea is type up your goals and inspirational quotes on your mobile device and set it as a screensaver, this way your inspiration will be clearly printed with you everywhere you go throughout the day.

Meditation

Meditation can be a great way to clear your mind and fill it with the positive thoughts necessary to find better meaning in your life. Two of the best times that you can use for meditation are first thing in the morning after you get up and before going to bed at night.

Meditation can not only be so beneficial for clearing your mind and filling it with positive vibrations, but it is also an excellent way to help achieve a relaxed state so that you can move on through your day completing your tasks in a more beneficial way and have more energy to complete the things in your day that are most important.

As I talked about earlier in using positive affirmations and the best time of day for doing this is when you can find some quiet, private time to concentrate on yourself and your thoughts, this is also important when following through a daily meditation routine.

When following a daily meditation routine, you will need to find some quiet time and a quiet place where you can put your mind in a high meditative mode so that you can concentrate all your thoughts on what you want to achieve and exactly how you plan on achieving these goals.

During your meditation you need to be clear and precise with your thoughts as to what you want to achieve and exactly what you will need to do to achieve this, and in order to completely put your mind, heart and soul into this, you will need to have a quiet place where you will have absolutely no distractions.

Surround yourself with positive thoughts

I have spoken before on the impact that positive thoughts can have on you, building true abundance and following through with your goals and achieving things that you never thought you would ever have been able to achieve.

I have heard spoken before by Zig Ziggler, “your mind can become a garbage dump” when you leave yourself susceptible to outside influence, but if you surround yourself with positive thoughts you can overcome negative thinking if you are persistent with it enough.

This is why it is always so necessary to surround yourself with people who think positive and their positive thoughts can rub off on you in a beneficial way.

Journal your accomplishments

This is another area I have talked about before is journaling your accomplishments. It is very important that we journal these accomplishments because if we don’t take the time to write these things down, it will be easy for us to forget about them.

These things that you journal don’t necessarily need to be just your accomplishments, it is necessary to keep a journal of your goals and what you plan on doing to achieve these goals.

If we don’t take the time to journal our thoughts, it will be much harder for us to follow through with them.

Conclusion

Many of these subjects I have covered today I have talked about in previous posts, but it is necessary to keep these things talked about repetitively because they can become easy things to overlook or brush off to the side and not stay focused on keeping them up front and center in our daily lives.

Zig Ziegler has stated that our mind is like a garbage dump, it is so easy for our minds especially in this day and age to become filled with so many negative things as this world is filled with so many negative influences that it can become difficult to stay positive.

If we can keep our minds filled with positive thoughts as much as possible, it will make it so much easier for us to move through each day successfully, staying positive and staying motivated to make the best of our lives and perform at our highest rate of efficiency.

Once we have built our minds up so that they can be highly functional to power us in a positive way through our days, then it is also necessary to feed ourselves the proper nutrients to physically power us through each day and give us the physical strength we need to empower us through our workouts.

This is where supplementation can be an important factor.

How to make goals and achieve them – breaking your barriers

Chain barrier

When and if you have ever set a goal, do you find it a challenge greater than you can handle in overcoming barriers that might stand in your way? Well if you do, it is more prevalent than you may think.

The world is filled with people who are trying to achieve goals that they have set for themselves, or there may be plenty of people out there that want to make big achievements but have never set any goals for themselves.

That leaves me with this question, do you know how to overcome your barriers? Barriers stand in all of our way come up but once you run into a barrier, it is all a matter of how you deal with it and if you pursue forward or if you back down and give in.

What is a barrier?

A barrier is something that is either mentally or physically standing in your way of achieving a goal or something you have been working on that holds great importance or prominence for you.

When it comes to weight training or losing weight, there can be many barriers that are set in your way, but if you can’t achieve overcoming your barriers, it will be very difficult to reach your goal in a timely manner.

What might stand in your way?

Often if you have a goal of adding muscle to your frame, you can have barriers such as not taking in enough overall calories, or taking in enough protein to build that muscle.

Another common problem is with losing weight, if you are on a Merry-Go-Round of losing weight, there may be barriers such as cutting out the wrong types of food that are too high in sodium, fat or sugar.

Whatever that barrier may be that is standing in your way of progress, you need to decipher exactly what that problem is and come up with a solution. Many times what can be handy to have is a journal, you can keep track of such things to log in so that it will become easier for you to figure out exactly what it is you need to change in your weight training regimen or diet.

Do you set goals for yourself?

When you set out on a mission to achieve something of importance to you, it is always necessary to set goals for yourself, whether you have a goal or not can make or break your plans.

When you set a goal for your physical fitness or dieting regimen, you need to think about the long-term and what you want to achieve in the future. These goals can be for 1, 3, 5 or 10 years, but then it is also necessary to break these long-term goals down into short-term, because if you don’t have short-term goals, it will be real difficult to follow your long-term goals.

Goals are a necessity in anything that you do because without goals it will be very difficult to achieve anything large in stature like losing 50 or 100 pounds or more, or adding a significant amount of muscle to your frame.

Do you set barriers in your mind?

You need to determine if you set barriers in your mind, it will be difficult to achieve any goal if there is a barrier set in your mind between now and being where you want to be within a set period.

It is necessary to determine if you set barriers in your mind because if these barriers are not dealt with, they can be a determining factor if you succeed or not.

If you take any successful person out there that has made great accomplishments, you will realize that if they have had any barriers set in their mind, they have dealt with and tackled them, because if these barriers were not dealt with, they would have never achieved all that they have gone on to do.

How to overcome your barrier

In order to overcome your barrier, you will need to realize what points you need to work on the most. If you are struggling to lose weight, what is making it difficult for you to lose weight? If you are having a difficult time losing it, it could be a very good possibility that what you are eating needs some work.

Do you have a hard time resisting the deserts after meal? Or are you having a hard time passing up the fast food joints? Do you have a tendency of heaping your plate up too much at meal time and finishing it all?

These are all very good questions that you can ask yourself, and if you are having a problem with any one of these situations or any other thing that might be keeping you from losing weight, you will need to address these problems and make necessary adjustments.

Progressing forward

In order to progress forward in your pursuit for health, you will need to make the necessary adjustments with your diet or training, you will need to set out reachable goals so that you can have a guide to follow and it is also necessary to keep a journal so that you can keep track of your downfalls and what you need to do to make any necessary adjustments.

Often times people don’t make the necessary adjustments that they need to make in order to progress forward because they are stuck on one path to reaching their destiny and often if you stick to doing something one way and it isn’t working, you will be stuck on a Merry-Go-Round performing the same vicious circle and never reaching your mark.

If one path to reaching your destiny isn’t working, change your path and try a different one. It is the people that stay stuck on one particular path that isn’t giving them any traction that don’t achieve their goals.

Conclusion

The first thing you want you to do is determine exactly what your goal is and write it down, once you have determined what it is and have it written down, then you will need to stick with it like glue and make sure that you don’t fall from the track and find yourself leading down the wrong path

The next thing you will need to do is determine if you have any barriers that are keeping you from reaching your goal. If you can determine what your barrier is, the next thing you will need to do is determine how to overcome that barrier so that you can keep progressing forward.

Once you have determined how to achieve what it is that you are seeking for, the next thing is to never give up hope or sight of your destiny and keep moving forward on it and it never back down

Another thing that you might want to take into consideration is if you are not progressing forward on your goals, it also may be necessary to find the right supplementation to help you with achieving those goals.

Weightlifting motivation – keeping your training going

Front squats

Often it can be difficult to find the motivation to work out, especially after a long day at work, you come home tired and would just as soon collapse on the couch and not do anything. Whether you are into weight training, yoga or some other form of training, there will always be a need for motivation in order for you to move into your next workout and motivate you through to the end of your workout.

Today I will be talking about weightlifting motivation and keeping your training going. Working out and training to improve your physical health and endurance is always an ongoing process, and it takes a lot of work to progress in any field of training that you do, but today we are going to be looking at some ways that will help you in your progression to becoming a better athlete or simply getting into better shape.

Sacrifice

Have you ever thought about how much work and sacrifice it has taken for one of these competitive power lifters to increase his bench press to 500 pounds or more? Or a professional bodybuilder to build his physique to the size that it is with the perfect symmetry and proportion as well as having his posing routine down?

For any one of these individuals to have made the progression that they have in whatever they’re given sport, it has taken them an extreme amount of dedication and passion for their sport to go as far as they have with the never-say-die attitude and to keep moving forward no matter what obstacles get in their way.

To achieve the path that you are on, you must always be ready to give of yourself 100% and nothing less, always be ready to go that extra mile and never back down from a good challenge. It is the champions of yesterday that are giving the newcomers today the motivation and the drive to seek out new heights and to take on any new challenges that come their way

“Live the Life of Your Dreams: Be brave enough to live the life of your dreams according to your vision and purpose instead of the expectations and opinions of others.”

― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart

Keep the passion burning

If you find yourself getting too comfortable with your training or following a fail-safe path that you feel you have grown too accustomed to, if you find yourself attached to the same route of travel with your training, there is a good possibility that you might hit a rut with your training and begin to lose interest.

Keeping the passion burning for your training can be likened to keeping the oil in your car changed, you put fresh oil in your car and it keeps the pistons firing and the engine running smoothly, but once the oil has run its course, it can affect the way the engine runs.

It is the same way with your training, if you keep using the same routine and the same set system of things for too long, it can affect the efficiency of your time spent, If you don’t continue to fuel yourself with something that ignites an interest in what you do or sparks a fire in your desire, you may end up losing interest in what you do and become bored with it after too long.

Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant. — Robert Louis Stevenson

Be spontaneous

Sometimes it might be necessary to find what your weak points are. No matter how good our training it might be, or how good we might feel after we get done working out, there can be flaws in our training systems. You should make it a point to seek out any flaws or weak points that you may have in your training or pay special attention that any areas of your body that may need more attention to.

Find some quiet time when you can look into your training and see if there are any necessary adjustments that you can make, even if you need to take a whole day off from work to do some searching, it can be good to set a whole day aside to make any needed changes so that you can keep your training going in a positive direction.

This can be just like keeping good tread on the tires of your car, sometimes you might need to take a look at the tread on your tires, if they start to get worn down, it might be hard to get good traction, it can be the same way with our training, if we don’t keep a firm hold on where we are going with our training,we can start to lose traction.

Change your thoughts and you change your world. — Norman Vincent Peale

Keep a clear visionKeep a clear vision for your future.

Having a Clear Vision of where we are going with our goals and training can be likened to keeping a good set of windshield wipers on our car. Say for instance if you are driving along at night and it is raining, you go to turn the windshield wipers on but the rain is coming down harder than what the windshield wipers can keep up with.

If you had a good set of windshield wipers that made good contact with the windshield and kept the rain clear, it would be much easier to see where you are going, but when the windshield wipers become worn and are not new anymore, it can make it difficult for them to keep the windshield clear, this can be likened to if we do not keep a clear vision of where we are heading with our training, our vision of where we are going can be clouded over making it difficult for us to see exactly what direction we are heading.

It is always a good idea to keep a clear vision of where you are going with your training, because if you don’t keep a clear vision, it will be difficult for you to envision yourself so as to where you want to be in a given period of time. Practice visualization of what your perceived goal is, and picture yourself attaining its rewards.

I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do. — Leonardo da Vinci

Conclusion

When you have a clear vision of a goal set, it can be quite a task to compete for its outcome. the most important thing is that you keep your focus on your dream, keep a distinct and clear vision of where you want to be and in a specified amount of time and you will have a much better chance at being successful with reaching your goal than if you don’t keep your eyes on the prize.

I hope that this article I have written has given you some motivation to pursue your dreams and not keep these exciting times that you can have in control for yourself on the back burner. Never allow anyone to make you think that your dreams will never be achievable, it is not up to anyone else how far you go, but it is completely up to you to make your dreams come true and give you the satisfaction of having achieved something great for yourself.

The road to success is always under construction

Receive a helping hand!

Many times people often believe that in order to achieve success you need to follow a set rule or path, but how many times have you noticed that the people that have became successful have broken off from what is thought to be a common road and they have created their own path to find success.

Today we are going to be looking at the path to success that many successful people have trail blazed for themselves and what you can do in order to achieve a similar success to theirs.

When looking for this common success, it can be anything that you have always had an interest in, whether it is building your own entrepreneurship, or results that you would like to see in the gym.

Where do you find success

When it comes to achieving success in the gym, there can be many different paths to follow, but it is all dependent upon what your goals are.

Some people have looked to achieve success in sports, whether it be winter Olympics, boxing or anything that you can dream of. But many people that are looking to achieve a similar success for themselves is just simply to get into better shape or build muscle.

The first thing that you need to do is write down a list of what your goals are, exactly what you would like to achieve and what time frame you plan on meeting this point that you are reaching for.

When writing out your goals, it is necessary to be as precise as you can so your goals are determined right down to the T as to what you want to achieve and exactly what it will take to achieve those goals.

Many people find that setting goals and working out the desired results is all too much work, but nobody is going to do the work for you, it is something that you need to make the decision on and follow through with your plan as if your life count’s on it.

“If you are not willing to risk the usual you will have to settle for the ordinary.” —Jim Rohn

Set a plan

How many times have you had the idea that you were going to accomplish something but then never followed through with it because you didn’t write out a serious enough plan to achieve your goals.

If you are one of those people that is indecisive and has a hard time making up your mind as to following through with a set plan, now is the time to get serious about following through with your plans because nobody else is going to do it for you, don’t waste another year.

Have you thought about how easy it would be to keep your goals or plans written down in a handy place so that you could access them anytime of the day? You can follow a plan of keeping your goals written down on little Post-its.

If you keep your goals written down in a handy place that you can keep with you at all times of the day you can look at them as a reminder frequently throughout the day. Some of the best times to do this are after you first get up in the morning and before you go to bed at night.

Reviewing over your notes first thing in the morning will help you to implant them into your mind when you are fresh and ready to go, you can keep these thoughts posted with you to keep them fresh in your mind throughout the day.

Another great time is before going to bed, this way you can meditate on those thoughts as you go to sleep and once you wake up in the morning it will be just that much easier to build up on. You will wake in the morning more refreshed with a positive and determined mind to follow through with your plan.

“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life–think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.” —Swami Vivekananda

Believe in yourself

In order to set out and accomplish success in any endeavor, it is definitely necessary to do your part to follow through with believing in yourself. Disbelief in oneself is one common way that people fall away from their plans and never achieve true success.

If you don’t have belief in yourself, it will be difficult to follow through with your goals after you have created them. Could you ever imagine the late great Jim Rohn never having the ability to believe in his own abilities? It is people like him that has given many people the ability to create their own goals and push forward to achieve their own success.

In order to achieve anything in life, it is first of all necessary to believe in yourself, because if you don’t have belief in yourself, how will you ever be able to achieve the things that you have always wanted in life, much less anyone else having faith in you to actually pull through with your goals.

“Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.” —Winston Churchill

How do you write goals?

First of all you need to be precise with what you write down for your goals. It is one thing that you say you want to lose 10 pounds in one month, but exactly how are you going to achieve a goal of losing 10 lbs in one month when you don’t have anything planned out as to exactly how you plan on achieving that destination.

If your goal is to lose 10 lbs in 1 month, break that down to what you can lose in each week. If you can lose two and a half pounds per week, that would come out to 10 pounds a month.

Now that you have determined that you can lose two and a half pounds per week, exactly what do you plan on doing each week to be able to obtain those results? The best way to achieve those results are to follow a healthy diet plan, you can click on this link to get a follow up on the best way to do that.

Another important step in weight loss is high activity exercise, you can click on this link to get a follow up on an exercise program for weight loss.

“Whenever you see a successful person you only see the public glories, never the private sacrifices to reach them.” —Vaibhav Shah

Conclusion

When writing a goal plan, you will want to make sure that you make it detailed and something that you will be able to stick with. Your first step in doing that is to make it exciting, if it is not exciting, it will be difficult for you to stick with.

One key to making your goals exciting is tracking them, If you don’t track your goals it will be hard to know if you are truly making the progress that you should be. If you set a specific target that you are aiming for and you miss, are you going to give up and throw in the towel?

That’s what most people do, but if you are serious about setting a goal, you should be prepared to meet defeat. Most people don’t hit their target first time around, that is when you will need to be prepared to adjust your vision and aim a little higher?

A marksman never made his first shot dead on the first time around, there were plenty of misses when first getting the hang of what he was doing, but with lots of practice and persistence, soon he became the true marksman he is today.

That’s the way it should be when pursuing your goal, if you miss, keep firing away, aim a little higher and before you know it you will be finding success around the next corner.

Find the drive to – keep a workout schedule

Exercise and eating healthy.

Do you often find it difficult to find the time and motivation to get everything done in one day? whether lf it’s work or school, house chores or simply finding enough energy to get a workout in.

Well if you’re struggling with this, don’t be alarmed, many people are facing the same situation to find the drive to keep a workout schedule.

Working out shouldn’t be a drudgery, after all it’s keeping you in better shape so that you can have more energy which will help you to push through your other daily tasks with much more ease.

What motivates you?

Finding the things that motivates us can be difficult at times, but once you find that something that gives you that extra little spark can often ignite a passion in you that just may be the game changer that you need.

Many times all it takes is a motivational recording such as a YouTube video or a podcast by a motivational speaker or coach. You can also find recordings of people who have faced life changing situations and be motivated by how they pushed through these debilitating situations and moved forward.

Whatever it is that can help you to progress forward and help you to realize the changes that you can make for a healthier future, you should incorporate this activity into your daily routine by consistently keeping little reminders in front of you throughout the day.

Post it’s

Post it’s are a good way to remind yourself consistently throughout the day of actions that should keep you consistent and inline with what your goals are.

The mind can be like a garbage dump, negative thoughts and things can enter their way into our minds so quickly and you will never even realize it until it has already done its damage.

Yet positive thoughts can take a lot of time and effort to implant in our minds, putting positive thoughts in our minds will always take a lot more work.

This is why it is necessary to put positive thoughts in our minds daily and feed ourselves with positive affirmations. These positive affirmations will mold and shape our goals.

Affirmations

Affirmations are when you continually implement positive thoughts into your mind for a favorable outcome.

Have you ever had something that you were looking forward to the next day and lulled yourself to sleep in anticipation and excitement building yourself up with positive thoughts?

When you are going through these mental emotions, you are in fact building a favorable foundation for a positive outcome because you are building up your mind with positive thoughts.

Anytime you fill your mind with doubt, you are in fact setting yourself up for failure.

Anytime you are filling your mind with uncertainty, you are setting yourself up for failure.

Negativity breeds failure

Have you ever seen someone who is successful and prosperous but has a negative attitude towards life and believes any possible outcome will end in failure?

Anyone who lives success believes in success, sees success and breaths success.

Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life–think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.” —Swami Vivekananda

Conclusion

Anything you do in life comes down to you, and if you are leaving yourself open to failure, you will surely find failure, if you are considering giving up on a dream, you will no doubt fail.

Any man who gives up will surely never find success. If someone gives up on something, they will never come to know success.

I hope that I have left you with some beneficial information and you have taken away some positive insight on how to better the outcome of any given circumstances.
